Bear Hugs is a unique environment for children 2 to 5 years of age that offers children an opportunity to learn and have fun at the same time. Our curriculum is based on learning through practical experiences and self-discovery within a carefully prepared, child-oriented environment. Bear Hugs believes that every child is entitled to learn and thrive in a fun, safe and nurturing environment. Bear Hugs’ Owner, Denise Alaquil worked at different types of jobs while raising her children, but, her first love had always been children. She and her husband have four, mostly grown up now. But in their infant and toddler years she came to realize that the typical schools available were brittle Institutions of Random Play, not conducive to learning and, well - not fun! Denise had observed the regimen of random, undirected play, and lack of personal love and attention towards children and made a promise to herself that one day, she would provide a center of her own that would create a bright, cheery alternative.
